Dear patients, Today we will speak about hypoglycemia, or low sugars. Many diabetes patients can get hypoglycemia episodes if treated aggressively or if oral intake gets low. When sugars go below 70, patient complains of giddiness, sweating, fast heart beats. If sugars get very low he can even get unconscious. In such a situation one should give oral glucose or sugar at home. Immediately hospitalize and give intravenous dextrose 25% for prompt relief. Inform your treating doctor about the same.
