COPD is the most common cause of chronic cough and breathlessness amongst the city dwellers. Patient complains of long term cough production with breathing difficulty on exertion. There are many contributory causes to COPD. These include air pollution, cigarette/ bidi smoking, family history, past infections like tuberculosis and so on. We now have many drugs to fight COPD .
